Introduction to Sewing

In this class you will learn basic sewing skills. We will be making a pillowcase in class. 

Fabric and pattern is included in the price of the class. Fabric will be from the shop. Please pick out ahead of class. 

You will need to bring:

Supply List

7/8 yd of cotton fabric for body of pillowcase

⅓ yd for Cuff

⅛ yd for Accent band

Sewing machine in good working order, power cord,

foot control and a bobbin and feet that go with machine.

Thread in a coordinating color

Scissors

Sewing Machine Needles 75/11 or 80/12

Seam ripper, Pins or Clips

Rotary Cutter and 24 inch ruler (the shop will have a few

in class)

If you haven't used your machine recently, please insert

a new needle and do a little test sew on a scrap of

fabric to make sure everything is running smoothly.
